Free Help in making effective New Years Resolutions.
There are two perspectives on making New Years Resolutions. Mark Twain summed up the first nicely….
“New Year’s Day: Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.”
- Mark Twain
The second is by the brilliant G.K. Chesterton…”The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective.”
The problem I have seen through my 20 years as a Life Change consultant and Coach is that people do not create goals that are aligned with their Mission and Identity. It is like trying to draw out a map for a voyage that you do not know the reason nor destination of the journey itself. Without a clear outcome of where you want to arrive, you will have no idea who you will become along the way. (Which is far more important in many cases than your destination.)
So what’s the answer? At the start of a New Year and New Decade, I will offer to help you discover and align your mission and mark out well defined new years resolutions for the first 50 people that respond to this blog post or contact me at scott@scottleese.com. No catch. Just helping you get launched on the start of a great new journey of your life.
